scope.

As a solo Designer on this project, I was responsible for conducting research, conceptualizing, designing, carrying out usability tests and delivering the final design. I worked independently throughout the project and ensured that all design requirements were met to the high standards.

I designed Levada only for the web. While the tool can be adapted for different industries, I had a general target audience in mind, including businesses, startups, and individuals who are seeking a comprehensive management solution for their web-based work.

backstory?

I was in a meeting with a group of friends, working on a project and noticed a problem that has been going on for a long time, “Switching Tabs”. We had to switch from tab to tab at different points depending on what it was we needed.

From Google Meet for communication to Google Docs for project documents to Trello for tasks to Figma for design presentation and VS code for developer updates to Google Calendar for meeting/event scheduling and back to Google Meet. That’s a lot of tab switching!

Then it occurred to me, “Why not have them all in one space, Communication, tasks, workspaces and calendar all together in one space”

process.

After having a defined idea of the problem from the backstory. I met with users on how they revolve around tools and did a study on the individual tools or applications and features, these helped a lot by giving useful information and suggestions to work with.

Then I began brainstorming and ideation on what can work for these users, their major challenge is switching, how do I eliminate that? Bring the features together.

I started sketching interface ideas on how this “bringing together will work”. I then had an idea of bringing these tools as features to the solution, with the freedom of still bringing in files from existing tools. Of course, this had lots of lefts and rights and challenges, having to implement solution ideas but feasible ones.

After paper sketches, I moved to digital designs using Figma also including error messages, pop-ups, states, instances and other in-app messages. Then started and completed interactive prototypes and allowed users to test.
